]]> Last February, Mr. Robert Raymond, Eng., Vice President gave his lecture on Bill 122 at two (2) major events: the « Forum québécois sur l’investissement multi-résidentiel » on February 14, 2013 and the « RTHQ Congress » organized by the SCHL on February 21, 2013. 

What is Bill 122 about?
It is the law that will now govern safety in buildings, parking lots and facades. After two (2) years of waiting, Bill 122 will be enforced on March 18, 2013. Inspec-Sol’s specialists will be on hand to meet the needs of owners and/or managers of terraced buildings (over 5 floors) or parking garages (either underground or above ground). 

Increased surveillance of buildings by establishing rules and standards for inspection is a fundamental action that will ensure public safety and the protection of our aging property patrimony and future.

]]> Inspec-Sol and the Collège de Valleyfield are proud to associate themselves with the Cégep de Sept-Îles to offer the first Civil Engineering Attestation of Collegial Studies at Sept-Îles, starting November 2012.

Indeed, as in many regions of Quebec, the number of skilled workers required for civil engineering projects is not enough to meet current labor needs for the supervision of repair and construction of roads and infrastructures.

In 2010, supported by the company’s shareholders, many of Inspec-Sol’s experienced engineers and technicians invested time and energy to develop this training program with the Collège de Valleyfield. Moreover, the success of this program in the Valleyfield – Beauharnois region encourages us to repeat the experience. Inspec-Sol which has a place of business located at 308, Laure Blvd. at Sept-Îles is proud to participate in the economic development of the region.

More than 500 professionals were there to promote the presence of the steel industry in Quebec and ensure the continued development of the building industry and bridges in Quebec. ]]> The 2012 Conference organized by the Canadian Welding Association was held at the Hilton Hotel in Quebec City. Last September, the Quebec welding and assembly industries met for a learning and networking event of world class quality. 

Messrs. Steve Lécuyer, eng., Vice-President, Jean-Paul Côté, Director of Inspection Staff and Michael Roy, Project Coordinator of the Department of Metallurgy were there on behalf of Inspec-Sol. 

The event focussed on current trends in Quebec welding and new technologies that can be used to help increase the growth of the industry.
